## Main purpose


X4 Modding Wiki is an independent English and Russian knowledge base for X4: Foundations mod authors. It covers properties, ships, data, Mission Director, Lua UI and FFI.

The [topic map and Egosoft comparison](wiki:official-guide-map) lists current guides, primary sources and remaining gaps.



Sources include primary Egosoft, Lua and LuaJIT documentation, concise technical facts and independent learning examples. External links appear below articles. Mod files, internal project documents, complete source files and personal data are not published.



## Types and evidence


[Types and methods](wiki:types) explain return values, parameters and the differences between Lua, C / FFI and MD. Unknown contracts are explicit. Reading a signature does not prove a game effect.

The baseline is X4 9.00. Learning examples are not claimed as tested in game without a documented scenario.
